Calling All Community Singers!
Robert Waterbury is the Interfaith Choir Director this year. He has selected 2 songs for the interfaith choir to present. They are listed below along with info on links you can access to review the songs presentation. You secure the sheet music at sheetmusicplus online.
The service will conclude with “Let There Be Peace on Earth” lead by the choir and the interfaith leadership. The sheet music and lyrics are attached. Be sure to use the lyrics as shown on the attached list.
Choir rehearsal is Sun, Nov 24 at 3:30-5:30. It is especially important that you learn the music before that date so you are prepared when you enter the rehearsal. The rehearsal is at First United Methodist Church, 1825 East Street, the same location that hosts the event at 6:30.
We will have an updated event flyer next week as KIXE Channel 9 and Enjoy Magazine are both serving as Co-sponsors of the event providing us with expanded publicity.
Note: ANYONE can participate in the interfaith choir. They do NOT have to belong to one of the members of the interfaith forum. So invite anyone who likes to sing! A friend, neighbor, youth, co-worker... its a time of giving THANKS!

I Will Testify
All the colors of the rainbow, all the voices of the wind, every dream that reaches out that reaches out to find where love begins, every word of every story, every star in every sky, every corner of creation lives to testify. - lives to testify. For as long as I shall live, I will testify to love. I'll be a witness in the silences when words are not enough. With every breath I take, I will give thanks to God above. For as long as I shall live, I will testify to love. From the mountains to the valley, from the rivers to the sea... Every hand that reaches out, reaches out to offer peace, every simple act of mercy, every step to kingdom come, All the hope in every heart will speak what love has done. For as long as I shall live, I will testify to love. I'll be a witness in the silences when words are not enough. With every breath I take, I will give thanks to God above. For as long as I shall live, I will testify to love.

Robert Waterbury prefers Marty Haugen's version. Robert has changed vs 3 lyrics. TITLE: This Is My Song Text by Lloyd Stone and Georgia Harkness Music by Jean Sibelius This is my song, O God of all the nations,a song of peace for lands afar and mine. This is my home, the country where my heart is;here are my hopes, my dreams, my holy shrine;but other hearts in other lands are beatingwith hopes and dreams as true and high as mine. My country's skies are bluer than the ocean, and sunlight beams on cloverleaf and pine;but other lands have sunlight too, and clover, and skies are everywhere as blue as mine.O hear my song, thou God of all the nations,a song of peace for their land and for mine.
Note: 3rd verse lyrics have been changed. This is my prayer, O God of all earth's kingdoms:Bring us together now in bonds of love,Let peace be lifted up in ev'ry nation, and hearts united learn to live as one,O hear my prayer, thou God of all the nations;Let peace and justice rule in all the world.
Hope to see you there!
